The school will be divided into two parts of one week each. A mathematical introduction giving a sound basis to (multiple) scattering theory will start the school. The rest of the first week will be devoted to advanced knowledge on multiple scattering as needed to determine the electronic structure in condensed matter and model the spectroscopies that will characterize it. The second week will deal with applications and hands-on courses on multiple scattering (MS) computer codes.
